Business Development Executive Job Description
Position Summary:
The Business Development Executive will drive the company’s achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals, as well as maintain ongoing relationships.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains a strong understanding of the company’s services, as well as business position and competition.
- Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients based on their business challenges.
- Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify prospective business problems, the effects of the problems, and the solution.
- Displays complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
- Develops and employs creative sales techniques.
- Connects with prospects to establish business relationships and grow a customer database.
- Educates customers through detailed explanations and coordinates demonstrations.
- Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers.
- Identifies areas to provide innovative solutions to prospects and clients.
- Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals and networking.
- Documents interactions customer and prospect communication in the CRM system.
- Meets or exceeds sales quotas.
- Performs other duties as assigned and requested.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred with a minimum of 5 years sales experience required.
- Strong track record of success with consultative, business-to-business, sales
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM Software
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Well-developed presentation skills
- Excellent customer relations skills with the ability to build rapport
- Availability to travel within the WNY area
