Business Development Executive Job Description

 

Position Summary:

The Business Development Executive will drive the company’s achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals, as well as maintain ongoing relationships.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains a strong understanding of the company’s services, as well as business position and competition.
  • Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients based on their business challenges.
  • Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify prospective business problems, the effects of the problems, and the solution.
  • Displays complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
  • Develops and employs creative sales techniques.
  • Connects with prospects to establish business relationships and grow a customer database.
  • Educates customers through detailed explanations and coordinates demonstrations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers.
  • Identifies areas to provide innovative solutions to prospects and clients.
  • Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals and networking.
  • Documents interactions customer and prospect communication in the CRM system.
  • Meets or exceeds sales quotas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and requested.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred with a minimum of 5 years sales experience required.
  • Strong track record of success with consultative, business-to-business, sales
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM Software
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Well-developed presentation skills
  • Excellent customer relations skills with the ability to build rapport
  • Availability to travel within the WNY area
